Dermal Filler

Filler is hyaluronic acid — a sugar molecule your body already produces — formulated into a gel and placed under the skin to restore volume that has been lost, or to define structure that was always subtle. Where a neuromodulator relaxes, filler replaces. The two solve different problems and often work best together.

Kristi's approach: structure before surface. Sunken temples and a flattened midface are usually why the lower face looks heavy — chasing the smile line alone rarely fixes it. She treats the cause, in stages, across visits rather than all at once.

What to expect after: swelling and some bruising are normal and peak around day 2–3. Lips swell the most — do not book filler within two weeks of an event. Avoid blood thinners, alcohol and hard exercise for 24–48 hours. Settled result at 2–4 weeks. Hyaluronic acid filler is dissolvable, which is a real safety advantage.

PDO Thread Lift

PDO threads are dissolvable sutures — the same polydioxanone material used in surgery for decades — introduced under the skin through a fine needle or cannula. They do two things at once: barbed threads physically reposition tissue upward and anchor it, and as the thread dissolves over 4–6 months your body lays down new collagen along its path. The lift is immediate; the skin quality change builds for months afterward.

Where threads fit: between filler and a facelift. If your skin has begun to descend but you are not ready for surgery — and adding more filler would only make you look heavier — threads are usually the honest answer.

What to expect after: this is the most involved treatment on the menu. Expect swelling, tightness and possible bruising for 5–10 days, plus an odd pulling sensation when you smile or yawn for the first week — that is normal. Sleep on your back, no dental work, facials or hard exercise for two weeks, and keep exaggerated facial movement to a minimum. Book at least three weeks before any event.

Collagen Biostimulators

Filler occupies space. A biostimulator does something fundamentally different — it provokes your own body to build new collagen, then dissolves and leaves that collagen behind. Nothing of the product itself remains. What you are left with is your own tissue, which is why the result reads as looking well rather than looking treated.

The trade is patience. You will not walk out transformed. Collagen takes months to lay down, so these treatments are given as a course and judged at three to six months, not on the day. In exchange they last longer than filler and improve skin quality rather than just contour.

Kristi uses two, and they are not interchangeable. Sculptra rebuilds lost volume across broad areas of the face. Hyperdilute Radiesse is used where skin has gone thin, crepey and lax rather than hollow. Many clients end up having both, in different places.

What to expect after either: mild swelling and occasional bruising for a day or two. With Sculptra you may look fuller immediately — that is the water it is mixed in, not the result, and it settles within 48 hours before the real change begins. The same applies to hyperdilute Radiesse. Do not judge either treatment before the three-month mark.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin · EZ Gel

PRF Gel

PRF is made from your own blood and nothing else. A small draw is spun in a centrifuge to separate out the layer rich in platelets, white cells, fibrin and growth factors. Warmed and then cooled, that layer transforms into a firm golden gel that can be injected like a filler — except it is entirely you, with no synthetic material of any kind.

Because there is no foreign substance, there is no risk of allergy and no question of what happens when it breaks down. That makes it the option Kristi reaches for in the most delicate places, and for clients who want a result without anything artificial in their face.

• Under-eye hollows — the tear trough, where PRF is often safer and softer than filler

What to expect after: the treated area looks fuller and slightly firm for the first few days, and bruising under the eye is common because the skin there is very thin. Swelling settles over roughly a week. PRF is gradually absorbed and replaced by your own tissue response, so results are subtler than filler and generally last four to six months. A series of two suits most people.

Microneedling

A device passes very fine needles through the skin at a controlled depth, creating thousands of microscopic channels. Each one is a tiny, deliberate injury that your skin repairs by producing fresh collagen and elastin. Nothing is added — the treatment works purely by directing your own repair response, which is why it improves the quality of skin rather than its shape.

Depth is set to the area and the goal: shallower across delicate skin, deeper over acne scarring. It is the most reliable treatment on the menu for texture, and unlike lasers it is safe in every skin tone, with no heat and no risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation when performed correctly.

Choosing a booster

Those open channels close within hours, and while they are open the skin absorbs dramatically more than it ever will through intact skin. That window is the entire reason for pairing microneedling with something. Kristi offers four, and they do genuinely different things — the right one depends on what your skin needs, not on which sounds most advanced.

What to expect after: you will look like you have moderate sunburn for 24–48 hours — flushed, warm, slightly tight. Some flaking around day 3–5 as the skin turns over. No makeup for 24 hours, no exercise or sweating that day, and strict sun protection for a week. Real change appears from around four weeks and continues building for three months. Best results come from a series of three, spaced four weeks apart. Boosters tend to shorten the redness phase rather than lengthen it.
